The linkage to the Strategic Plan is subsection 8:3 - Enhance animal services to ensure El Paso’s pets are provided a safe and healthy environment.
Award Summary:
Discussion and action of the award of Solicitation No. 2021-1258 Animal Food to Legend + White Animal Health Corp. for an initial term of three (3) years estimated amount of $935,218.80. The award includes a two (2) year option for an estimated amount of $623,479.20. The total value of the contract is, including the initial term plus the option for a total of five (5) years, for an estimated award of $1,558,698.00. The contract is for food for the animals at the Animal Services shelter and for those animals within all of the Animal Services programs.
Contract Variance:
The difference in price, based on comparison to previous contract is as follows: An increase of .73% for 15 items being provided. Items 1, 3-5 and 8 had an increase in quantities for a cumulative total of 156.578%, items 14-15 had a decrease in quantities for a cumulative total of 149.05%, while items 2, 7-8 and 9-13 had no changes in quantities. This represents a cumulative increase of 75.07% between the two contracts. The increase is due to additional quantities required for various items.
