Discussion and action to approve a Resolution that the City Council declares the expenditure of District 8 discretionary funds in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 for costs related to the holding of the Chamizal Community Center and Library event celebrating the fifth anniversary of the opening of the facility, which serves the municipal purpose of fostering community pride, encouraging civic engagement, and celebrating the heritage and culture of one of the oldest neighborhoods in El Paso’s history.
