Title: That the City Manager is authorized to submit an application to the Office of the Governor, Texas Military Preparedness Commission, for the Fiscal Year 2023 Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant ("DEAAG") to fund the HAWK System and School Zone Flashers Project. The Project is the construction of a new pedestrian crossing on Texas Loop 478 - Dyer Street connecting Logan Heights Fort Bliss to Chapin High School, with a total project cost of $411,049.00. Through the DEAAG application, the City is requesting funding in the amount of $205,524.00 (50% of the project cost), with the City providing a local match of $205,525.00.
