Discussion and action to approve a Resolution that the City Council declares that the expenditure of District 8 discretionary funds, in an amount not to exceed $1,000.00, for the curation, construction, promotion, and/or programming of the El Paso Museum of History exhibit “Where It Began: Civil Rights and the El Paso Branch of the NAACP”, coinciding with the 89th Annual Texas National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Convention to be held in El Paso, serves the municipal purpose of enhancing the quality of life of the citizens of El Paso through entertainment and education and by fostering community pride and encouraging civic engagement;
And, that the City Manager, or designee, be authorized to effectuate any budget transfers and execute any contracts and/or related documents necessary to ensure that the funds are properly expended for the municipal purpose.
