Discussion and action on a Resolution authorizing the City Manager or his designee to establish appropriations in the amount of $3,000,000 to respond to the negative economic impacts caused by COVID-19 and experienced by impacted or disproportionately impacted small businesses in the manufacturing industry sector; and whereas, the City of El Paso is the recipient of the American Rescue Plan Act ("ARPA") grant funds in the amount of $154,365,135, the City Council approves the appropriation of the grant funds from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds in accordance with the requirements stipulated by the American Rescue Plan Act and federal guidelines in the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Final Rule to respond to negative economic impacts caused by the COVID-19 public health crisis.
