Discussion and action on a Resolution authorizing the City of El Paso’s participation as a Coalition Member with the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation (the “MCA”), and other coalition members as identified in the coalition’s application for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration’s 2021 American Rescue Plan Act Build Back Better Regional Challenge (the “Challenge”) led by the MCA; and that City Council approves that the Mayor be authorized to sign a letter of support for the Coalition’s submission of its application, “MedTech Cluster - Developing a Productive EcoSystem,” to Phase I of the Challenge which identifies the City’s role in providing support to build regional manufacturing capacity and other supportive economic development efforts by providing data and connections for industry partners and other Coalition members.
