BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION:
Discussion of the what, why, where, when, and how to enable Council to have reasonably complete description of he contemplated action. This should include attachment of bid tabulation, or ordinance or resolution if appropriate. What are the benefits to the City of this action? What are the citizen concerns?
The Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee last briefed Council in June 2020. Projects and Incentives in the areas of Homelessness, Employment and Marketing / Outreach have been the focus of the committee. The Committee will discuss the efforts to minimize Veteran Homelessness. Discussion will continue to show efforts made by the City Human Resources department to recruit Veterans for Employment. The Committee will present efforts taken to reach out to the community and connect Veterans through marketing and outreach.
